Research
The Plant and Microbial Biotechnology team is interested in understanding the molecular interactions between viruses, their plant hosts and insect vectors. We also study the diversity of viral populations and harness RNA silencing for virus control. Skills include the molecular analysis of DNA and RNA, molecular cloning and sequencing, sequence phylogeny, real time PCR, small RNA detection, protein chemistry and serology.
